The main key is undoubtedly the diet (cardio+ lots of veggies+ lots of white meat spread in 5 meals).
If I were you, I would go for this routine:
1. Cardio (30 minutes on the treadmill)
2. Squats (4 sets of 15 reps with a low weight)
3. Lunges (4 sets of 15-20 reps/foot with a low weight)
4. Leg Extensions + Leg Curls in superset (4 sets of 10 reps each)
If you have a good diet, it's impossible to not get any results.
Remember, the above routine is based on lots of volume, therefore your diet needs to be clean, and you should respect your resting periodsHow do you get better fitness results?First off diet is a main factor is toning up. Onto the exercise part, for your legs keep doing the machines but add some more weight. You want to fight for those last few reps. Shoot for 12-15 reps and do at least 3 sets/exercise to firm up and add some new muscle.
For your stomach, planks are a good exercise along with exercise ball ab work, vertical leg crunches or bicycle crunches. If you need help figuring these exercises, just go to Youtube and do a search.
You can also add some light cardio on your days off for about 20 minutes at an easy pace to lose fat but keep your muscle.
Good luck,
