I filed a lawsuit in august 2007. I was wondering what is the difference between filing a continuance and a nonsuit motion?What is the difference between filing a continuance and a non suit motion in a civil lawsuit?A continuance is a request to have the court date pushed back to a later date.



A nonsuit motion is a request to have the lawsuit dismissed.
