How do you get a job at a fitness center?

How does one go about gettting a job at a fitness center? I don't have a degree in fitness, I just thought it would be a fun part-time job because I enjoy working out myself. what kinds of jobs are available in the fitness center? Well besides being a trainer. Has anyone ever worked at one? or is working at one now? How was your experience? thanks. =)How do you get a job at a fitness center?i had a lot of friends when i was in high school that worked at the gym as desk girls. they greeted people and sold drinks and stuff. they got free memberships. what they told me was it was alot of hours for not much pay. to be able to work at one, i would say the only requirement is to be pretty...seriously. even if you're fat...just be pretty.How do you get a job at a fitness center?Yes, you def need sales experience, or degree in fitness if you want to be A SALES REP OR PERSONAL TRAINER. But you really dont need a lot of experience to work in the child care or front desk. Experience is always a plus in customer service, unless its your first job, then its understandable. usually they need evening workers and evenings because thats when gyms are busiest. but perks include discount or free gym memebership.

i started out in the nursery/front desk... now i am a certified personal trainer... i just worked my way to the top! good luck!
