What does LA Fitness mean when they offered to sponsor you?

I went to LA Fitness and one of the girls- Club staff asked or offered to sponsor me.. What does that mean? I didn't ask her because I just stopped by to asked about their membership. I got home and I thought about what she offered me, I was wondering if anyone knows exactly what that means.. I hope it's not a scam just to get me in..

Thanks so much! Any comments would be greatly appreciated. :-))What does LA Fitness mean when they offered to sponsor you? They usually give offers if you accept to promote them to gain popularity. What does LA Fitness mean when they offered to sponsor you?I'm not sure but gyms often use different "promotions" like that to get you to join. Every gym membership rate is negotiable and very few people pay the full price. They might start at say $89/month (I have no idea about that gym or what they charge) but if you balk at it, which most people do, then they'll say they are going to "sponsor you" so you can get a discounted rate of $69/month, or that they have a "special promotion today only" that will give you a discounted rate if you sign up now. I once worked at a gym when I was between jobs and there are so many tricks and fake promotions many of them use. What does LA Fitness mean when they offered to sponsor you?Sponsor usually means "I'll pay for this if you advertise us".. Usually meant for professional athletes or other famous people that attract people's attention.. If you are not any of those, I think they are tricking you into a contract.. BE CAREFUL.. I once got stuck with a Good Life Membership and oh boy was it NOT the good life. So don't sign anything until you're sure or if you know you got money to blow!
