Can using a fitness ball and dumbells provide a complete workout?

I know this won't replace cardio, but will it do enough to replace going to the gym? I'm looking to lose weight and retain muscle, not bulk up.Can using a fitness ball and dumbells provide a complete workout? That's plenty of equipment for strength and flexibility, assuming you have enough different sized dumbbells of sufficient weight, but it won't do anything for your cardiovascular system.

You don't need a gym for that either, all you need is a pair of running shoes and a front door......

I think I'm in decent shape (4-time Ironman), and the only time I go to the YMCA is to use the pool. Can using a fitness ball and dumbells provide a complete workout?
yes as long as you also do about 100 crunches adayCan using a fitness ball and dumbells provide a complete workout?dumbells can be used for an full body workout and fitness balls can be used for a lot more than just abdominals. Dumbells are a great way to lose fat as they cause you to use your core stability more and so in a nutshell is harder for your body and thus you will burn more calories than if you were using a fixed machine in gym. There are plenty of workouts on the internet using just a swiss/ fitness ball and dumbells so you should have no problem. Keep doing cardio though, 20-30 mins 3 to 4 times a week after your weight session and you will be looking great in no time! Can using a fitness ball and dumbells provide a complete workout?
