This August, I will be starting another season of marching band. I am going to be on the bass drum, and I was wondering if anyone knows of a site with a program to help me build up the appropriate muscle for the season.Does anyone know where I can find a fitness program to prepare me for Marching Band?i play bass as well. ive been doing like squats ands stuff for my legs as well as core exercises ( like ab stuff ) to make my back feel better.Does anyone know where I can find a fitness program to prepare me for Marching Band?did you do marching band last year?
You don't need a program for this as long as you go to rehearsals your body will do the rest because in essence you'll be working out. Marching and lifting a heavy drum is exercise...
Just don't forget to eat your carbs to get your energy up for marching band though.Does anyone know where I can find a fitness program to prepare me for Marching Band?Hahahahahaha, band camp band camp... its torture to me and I play the clarinet. Honestly, I think the most important physical preparation for me personally is doing ALOT of walking before you go to band camp in order to get those leg muscles working cause you will be doing a ton of walking, well marching, around fields for hours at band camp. Also, in the week leading up to camp drink lots and lots of water cause you don't want to go to band camp dehydrated. And for lifting those huge drums, well drink extra water and maybe do some upper body strength training.
