I used to workout 5 days a week and I loved it, then the occurrence of certain events in my life caused me to stop, it has now been over a year since I last exercised. I would like to get back into and renew my love of exercise, I have tried going to the gym but I can鈥檛 get myself interested in working out like the way I used to.
What are some ways I can get interested in working out again?

It sounds like you need motivation. I've had a thumb sprain before and was forced to stay out of the gym for a couple of weeks. My thumb could hardly move so I couldn't workout my upper body. After I had healed, I never felt like going to the gym anymore. I was pretty skinny and concluded that I will never be able to get the body of my dreams because I was a hard gainer. I was also afraid I wouldn't be able to lift as heavy as I used to which shot down my self esteem big time. Then, one day I discovered this website. It was called bodybuilding.com . This website is probably the most informative exercising website out there. Just use the search bar and type in what you want to know and the answer will be there. Anyway, I read a whole bunch of transformation articles and how people like me went from as skinny as a stick to buff as Arnold S. I was amazed on all the transformations really. There were also articles on weight loss transformations also. Well I really suggests you check out this site. It will definitely get you going. Somewhere that keeps your attention. Maybe while you're running, listen to some music (From a Walkman or an Ipod.)
If this doesn't work, get a friend to work out with you. Go to the gym, or for a walk/run in a park. You'll have someon to chat with, and before you know it, you'll have been walking for 30 minutes!
Or get involved in a sport. Take a basketball down to a nearby park and shoot some hoops. Play pass with a soccer ball and a friend, or catch with a baseball or football. Get some friends together and start a game, and maybe plan to meet up every weekend to play a sport.
