Why is cardiovascular fitness the most important part of fitness?

Can't find the answer in my book.Why is cardiovascular fitness the most important part of fitness?Because if you don't have a strong heart, you will die. Simple as that.

Once your heart stops, bye bye world.

The better your cardiovascular endurance, the longer you can maintain a heightened level of aerobic activity. The longer you can do that, the healthier your heart, lungs, and blood vessels are.

This may not sound particularly important, but the healthier your cardiovascular system is, the less stress it sustains when under pressure. The less aerobic stress your body feels when strained also equates to less stress when you rest. And this means less wear on your cardiovascular system in general and lessens the chance of complications like cardiac arrest.
