I am tall and skinny so I want to put on lots of muscle. Also want to be in all round good health so I also want to do cardiovascular exercises to increase my lung capacity and strengthen my heart. I just want to be in really good shape in a balanced way so that I have all round good strength, endurance, stamina , etc

There are several different types of exercise that can be done to achieve this goal. One thing I always recommend is to do speed walking at least 5 days a week for half hour to and hour depending on your level of fitness and try to increase this will help greatly with your cardio improvement.
Working out with weights doing traditional types of exercise to build a more muscular body. I also, always suggest getting an exercise buddy that has the goal to get better fit. This is a way for each of you to keep one another motivated to keep going.
